The Polish Corrosion Association is the beneficiary of another project implemented as part of the CORNET Initiative. The new project, with the acronym BiBaCoM, titled "Bio-Based UV-Curable Anti-Corrosion Coatings for Metal Substrates," is being carried out by institutes participating in all previous CORNET projects: Łukasiewicz Institute for Engineering of Polymer Materials and Dyes, Road and Bridge Research Institute, and Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation. The German association is Forschungsgesellschaft für Pigmente und Lacke e.V. (FPL).
MicroSafeCoatings is a new, sixth research project carried out as part of the CORNET Initiative by the Polish Corrosion Association. The research work under the CORNET/34/5/2022 project, titled "Novel antimicrobial protection in powder coating for composite materials," involves: Rzeszów University of Technology, Łukasiewicz Institute of Engineering of Polymer Materials and Dyes, Łukasiewicz Industrial Chemistry Institute, and Road and Bridge Research Institute, and the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation (IPA) in Stuttgart, Germany. The German association is Forschungsgesellschaft für Pigmente und Lacke e.V. (FPL).
The Polish Corrosion Association is implementing another, fifth research project under the CORNET Initiative – Project CORNET/31/20/2022, with the acronym ColourTune, titled Tuning the colour of topcoats – method for selecting pigments and safeguarding colour stability.
The Polish Corrosion Association is currently implementing its fourth research project under the CORNET Initiative. Project CORNET/30/5/2020, titled "Water-based, environmentally friendly zinc-rich primer systems," acronym: EcoWaterZinc. The project has been underway since May 2021 and is scheduled for completion by April 30, 2023.
The jury of the Stanisław Staszic Competition for the best innovative products "Laurel of Innovation 2020", chaired by the Vice President of FSNT-NOT, Dr. DSc, Eng. Tadeusz Pawłowski, awarded Laurels and Distinctions to 13 innovative projects in 7 competition categories.
On May 14-15, the Global Invention Forum took place in in Limassol, Cyprus.
Silver GIF medal and the Special Award Nicoli Tesla from the Serbian Association of Inventors received the solution "A new generation of soils pigmented with modified zinc pigments with excellent resistance to mechanical and corrosive factors" developed by a consortium consisting of: Institute of Engineering of Polymer Materials and Dyes (IMPiB), Road and Bridge Research Institute (IBDiM) and Fraunhofer Institute of Production Engineering and Automation (IPA).
